This method of earning income might sound like one of the greatest things you could ever hope for, but it's not. There are so many factors, obstacles and situations that could throw you off and keep you off schedule. Just like any regular job, there is a deadline to meet. Punctuality is also an important factor because you are still expected to deliver at a specific time and there is no excuse. Just like any other job, you are expected to act and be professional by meeting deadlines and communicating with the employer if you want to keep your job.
There are many reasons as to why people do not like this method of earning income!
Stressful.
You might not think this is true, but I speak from experience. Working from home can be more stressful compared to being employed in the corporate world. One major stress that individuals deal with is recognition. You might be working non-stop, maybe even be one of the hardest working people, but what do you have to show for it? Are you being appraised left and right? Are you getting thousands and thousands of jobs offers? I think not.
Distractions.
Although you are in a more comfortable environment, you must not constantly get distracted by family members. Other distractions may include T.V, Internet, Chores, and many other distractions.
Social life.
What social life? your life is pretty much your computer, that's it. You wake up with it, you eat with it, and you sleep with it. There is no time to come out of the corner to say hi and converse with a friend or go hangout for a while.
Hardware and internet connection.
OMG! I can relate to this one for sure and I bet many work-from-home individuals can also relate to this one. It can drive you insane, seriously. Time flies by when you are working and before you know it, you just barely managed to make the deadline. Now imagine if you were having problems with your hardware? What can you do? PANIC.
There are many other things that are not so great about working from home such as not having a specific work space that you can call your own so you can focus. there are no benefits and no sick time or vacation time. The work is endless and it never ends. As you can see, these are more than enough reasons as to why the working-class hates working from home.
